GICA 1
The first piece of technology that I received was a gameboy on my fifth birthday. It was the coolest thing I owned for a while until the cell phone came out and I got one before I went into middle school. The phone was one of those old sidekick phones where the keyboard slid out and I used that for a while until the age of the smartphone which is where we are today. In middle school I also built and programmed lego robots. In middle school and early high school I thought I wanted to be an engineer when I grew up so I had to understand how to use technology to my advantage.
I hope in this class I am able to become more tech savvy in order to further understand what needs to be done in order to become a good educator. I hope I can see what kind of technology there is to come in the classroom so I can be prepared for that when I enter the workforce. I also hope to learn how this technology will serve as an advantage to me, as an educator. Lastly, I hope to learn patience with the computers and other technology that will be necessary for me to use when I become a teacher.
Lego robots... Cool! I hope you will share some of your technology and engineering experiences with the class.
